Norhunter Irish Wolfhounds is a family affair. My daughter Chelsea has become very invoved in the kennle and is now partnering with me to raise healthy, happy well rounded puppies. I am so proud of my kids and the way we work together as a family to care for all of our animals. Besides our Irish Wolfhounds our family has a pet labrador retriever and cats. My daughter also has 2 horses, 2 sheep a goat and a donkey.
Being a single mother with two kids and managing a large kennel and rural property requires a great deal of hard work and long hours. It is definitely a 24/7 job! I am always amazed at my two children and the work they do here and I must say they happily accept the fact that caring for the animals is our first priority.
We have all spent many nights sleeping on the floor with a new mum and pups, interrupted or rescheduled the kid's birthday parties and cancelled many events and outings to stay home with our animals.
Both of the kids are an enormous help to me. They help with cleaning and feeding all the animals, cleaning pens, puppy laundry, fencing, brushing/grooming, bathing puppies, vet visits and trips to the airport or to deliver puppies to families, and of course their favorite part - socializing and handling all of the puppies!!!!
